The increasing environmental awareness of the last decades has led to a huge tightening restrictions on vehicle pollutant and carbon dioxide emissions. Friction dissipation plays strategic role as its reduction necessarily leads decrease in CO2 Valve timing system is responsible for significant part overall friction losses provides relatively wide margin improvement. This regulates intake exhaust flows combustion chamber. camshaft allows motion transmission between crankshaft valves. main goal this research modeling bearings reciprocating internal engines. proposed model aimed investigate possible optimization strategies evaluate, with an appropriate precision design phase, different constructive solutions from point view losses. An empiric evaluation Stribeck curve was proposed. It estimate coefficient explicitly through continuous function. Then, study showed that possible, careful adjustment parameters such number bearings, diameter dimensions.
